The Minister of the Water Resources and Electricity, Usama Abdalla, has affirmed Sudan commitment to cooperate seriously and fully with the other states in the Nile Basin, noting that the Nile Basin peoples are looking forward for further fruitful and constructive cooperation for optimum exploitation of the East Basin resources for the sake of achieving the good and prosperity of the Basin peoples.

Addis Ababa — The Ethiopian Prime Minister, Hailemariam Desalegn, has affirmed his country's commitment to the establishment of Renaissance Dam for the benefit of the River Nile states, including Egypt and Sudan, saying that Ethiopia considers the Renaissance Dam as a joint ownership.
